Reach 30,000 Music Fans for 10 Bucks

Here's a fresh concept in music marketing that, as far as I can tell, know one else is doing at this time. I invite you to join me in this new adventure ... and I'll help you reach the eyes and ears of 30,000 music fans (or more) within the next six months.

Let me explain ...

I've always believed that musicians benefit most from working together. There's power in numbers. There are also limitless benefits that come with cross-promotion.

For instance, think about split bills -- two acts performing at the same club on the same night. Act A gets exposed to Act B's fans while Act B gets to strut its stuff in front of Act A's audience. It's a win-win situation ... created by working together to reach new people.

Now think about the split-bill example and multiply the exposure potential by 100. That's the power of this new marketing concept. It'll allow you to reach 30,000 music fans ... and possibly a lot more.

Here's how it works ...

I'm creating a new downloadable e-directory called "101 Free Music Downloads." This directory (published in the widely used .pdf format) will contain listings of 101 independent music artists. Each listing will include the act's name, a brief description of the music, a contact name and e-mail, and web site links to pages where fans can download free songs and learn more about each act.

This is where it gets exciting ...

First off, I will heavily promote "101 Free Music Downloads" through my newsletters and via dozens of online PR outlets. But that's not even the exciting part. Each of the 101 acts will get a copy of the file. Every artist will promote the free e-directory on their web sites and in their e-mail fanzines for a minimum of six months.

That's where the multiplier effect kicks in!

Let's do some basic math ... Let's say, on average, each act can get 150 people to download the file. (I know, some bands may only give away 25 copies, but others may distribute 500. So I think 150 is a pretty realistic, conservative average.)

100 acts multiplied by 150 fan downloads each equals 15,000 fans! Now let's stay conservative and say that, on average, each one of those fans passes the file on to just one other person. That would immediately double the number of people exposed to it -- meaning 30,000 fans would now have a music directory with your listing, description and links.

The potential is pretty amazing, but ...

I want to be sensible about the power of this thing. I could easily use higher numbers and pass-along rates and claim that you'll reach 90,000+ fans. Perhaps you will, but I don't want to overhype the possibilities.

I know that every fan who downloads the directory won't click through to every act listed. Sticking with our conservative 30,000 fans number, let's figure that only 1% of them click through to your link. That means 300 people who never heard of you or your music will visit your site and likely listen to your music (many will hopefully purchase your CD or come to your shows) ... and all for just $10. That's 3.3 cents per new fan exposure.

You won't find a better, more cost-effective way to reach new fans.

Want to get in on this? Here's what I need you to do: Fill out the short form below and submit it to me. That let's me know you're interested and willing to spend $10 to reach 30,000 new music fans.

One more thing ...

Don't fill out the form unless you can guarantee me that you will give away the "101 Free Music Downloads" .pdf file from your web site and promote it in your e-mail fanzine for at least six months. If you don't do your part to promote, it defeats the purpose.

That's one of the reasons I'm keeping the listing cost low. It allows me to collect a fee for spearheading the effort and putting it all together, but I need you to expend some effort to make it work.

What happens next?

When I'm ready to launch the directory, I'll check out the web sites of the people who fill out this form first. With more than 6,500 subscribers to my Buzz Factor e-zine, it shouldn't be too hard to find 101 interested and worthy artists.

Therefore, I probably won't even have to announce this in future e-zines or to the general public. So if you want in, fill out the form below today ... and I'll get back to you very soon.

Cheers!

Bob
